このビショップデイルも、ウェンズリーデイルの支流の一つで、カヴァーデイルよりもさらに小さいデイルである。こじんまりとしていて、まるで箱庭のように美しいところである。
ビショップデイルをさかのぼり、かつての鳥や鹿の猟場だったというラングストゥロスデイル・チェイスの急な峠道キズストーン・パスを抜けると、ウォーフデイルの上流にでる。
Bishopdale, another tributary of Wensleydale, is smaller than Coverdale.
And it is a quiet and snug dale just like a heavenly peaceful garden.
Driving to upwards of the dale and going through the steep Kidstone Pass
of Langstrothdale Chase, which was once a game and deer preserve, I came
to the upper Wharfedale.
